SOOOOO GOOD!!!! It was epic to be in the audience and LOVE watching this again. This segment is packed with wisdom & insights everybody should hear.

Well, I was only mildly angry, and then I read the comments. So many people have to find something about the video to criticize or make fun of. “The camera angles are scary. Too animated. There’s something on the floor.” Brendan is attractive, successful, and smart. He’s an author and a speaker, and has a huge online following. And yet… And yet, about half of the comments are rude and nasty. I’m realizing- maybe I’m angry because I take things too personally. Maybe people are just AHs- and not just to me- to EVERYONE. I’m thinking the best cure for anger might be to limit social media to 15 minutes a day.

You helped them at first, and they tried to tell everyone you don't know what you are doing. When you end up successful, and they aren't, they don't say congratulations. They try to prove to everyone you still can't do it. But, they want everything you used to do it by any means. I am done smiling with a knives lodged in my shoulder blades. No thanks.

Soooo much communication is not face to face, it's online or through messaging, which allows people to disconnect from reality and project emotions and feelings on people they don't really know. I try to use more meditation and mindfulness, helps me. The workbook called 30 Days to Stop Apologizing by Harper Daniels had a nice impact on my psyche, and the Tao Te Ching. It's so important to detach from online stuff.

I was taught to not trust people... and yes, it created a strong preference of not engaging with others. Life became more peaceful with this decision. I now enjoy engaging with others, and they enjoy engaging with me... but then I need recovery time. Meeting 1-5 individuals at a time is ideal, because I like getting to know them individually to create my comfort level with them. I'm trying to get out of my reclusiveness... and when I trust, I learn I may have trusted my creation of them vs who they are. That makes it harder on me, but not impossible to recover from... as "I did it to myself", they say.
